While occasional insomnia is quite common, long-term sleep deprivation can lead to numerous issues, including mood swings and serious chronic diseases.

    Sleeping patterns may also differ. While experts recommend getting at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night, most people only need 4 high-quality sleep hours. In fact, some people need more sleep than others, depending on their needs, lifestyle and age. Older people tend to sleep less, they wake up early in the morning and are normally light sleepers. What counts is that you go to bed at a right time, you get enough sleep each night and you feel rested.
